facebook feeds expiration

Recommended Posts

a while ago I asked if you could be sending us an email for the "Facebook feeds expiration" event,

still no progress since then

so how how long does it take them to expire?

I would like to create a reminder in my calendar for it

Yes, it's still in the queue. But you should have notification about that.

Anyways according to Facebook documentation:

"User access tokens come in two forms: short-lived tokens and long-lived tokens. Short-lived tokens usually have a lifetime of about an hour or two, while long-lived tokens usually have a lifetime of about 60 days. You should not depend on these lifetimes remaining the same - the lifetime may change without warning or expire early. See more under handling errors."

So it should be around 60 days but can't tell for sure ;)

Any new on this ?

Notification in inoreader is not enough. I set rules to send items from FB feeds to e-mail, how to know when renew if i'm not on the reader ?

By the way, the 60 days limit is a bit optimistic, I have noticed token expire every 3 weeks more or less
