strange issues with realtime feed

Recommended Posts

I'm talking about https://feeds.feedburner.com/skai/PLwa

last night I noticed that even though it was realtime,
it was checked every 3 hours and I was missing articles of course,
since there were new published (in the actual feed, above) and
I was still waiting for inoreader to fetch them,

so, I boosted it (ignoring the question that I was boosting a realtime feed),
but there are still delays, e.g. latest article the feed says was published at 9:32,
but I received it at 10:09 (local time, according to crawler history)

so, something is wrong here,
can you check/fix?

One thing to keep in mind about feeds going through caching reverse proxies like Feedburner and Feedpress is that while the connection between Inoreader and the proxy is supposed to be "realtime" we can't say the same about the proxy and the originating site. Unless the site also supports WebSub/PubSubHubbub there will be a delay between the proxy's crawls.

>so boost > (is better than) realtime in cases like this

More like that explains half of the issue - why there are still delays longer than 10 minutes even after boosting the feed.

Inoreader's realtime system could still be bugged for that particular feed.

inoreader's crawler works fine in checking the feed every 10 minutes, there's no bug in that,
maybe there's a bug in realtime implementation,
meaning the feed is never actually checked by inoreader,
as I understand it, in this case, ino should be waiting (like a listener)
to get the reply for the feed (which doesn't happen)
