forum feed doesn't get updated/show replies while it does when viewed in browser

Recommended Posts

"Επιλογή νέας τηλεόρασης."  is a new thread, that's why you see it in both,

but this was a reply (that I can view on browser but not on inoreader):

Because they are presented as "updated" articles in the feed. Same article with different/updated content.

Please note that we have protection system for updated articles - each article will update up to 3 times. If this article updates 4th time it will not appear.

So the most possible reason about missing articles from this feed is because of the protection and deduplication methods we use.Screenshot_152.png

no, I don't think that's the case here,

because I'm subscribed to other forums and threads too and I get a new feed item each time somebody posts to that thread,
e.g. in

  http://forum.satleo.gr/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml

I'm getting every reply posted to the thread:

https://forum.satleo.gr/index.php/topic,16568.msg236606.html#msg236606

in any case, there shouldn't be talk about duplication here,
this is not the case,
I just want to be receiving updates when somebody posts like in feedly,

e.g. I want to be able to read the following post,

which is nowhere to be found in inoreader!

so, what's gonna happen with this?

I cannot understand why I get correct results from my browser (and feedly) and I cannot from inoreader!!!

Maybe you should remove your functionality and leave the feed working as it is?

After all, the posts I'm talking about are NOT duplicate results (as you incorrectly mentioned), but just new posts in a thread,
the even more strange thing is that similar forum threads work fine in inoreader!

I don't know if you applied your functionality to this one (and/or similar ones) for testing,
but if you did, you should consider removing it and let the feed alone,
because it causes huge problems in feed reading!

Looking forward for your actions...

No it's not for testing... I already described what is the reason about that.

And you are seeing comments from the other examples (forums) because they are published as separate/new items/articles as they should be, actually.

That's how our system works for such articles (updated multiple times). We'll consider what can be done about such cases (I'm suspecting pretty low number) but I can't promise anything for now.

ok, now I understood,

e.g. in the following example:
https://forum.satleo.gr/index.php/topic,14559.msg236641.html#msg236641
https://forum.satleo.gr/index.php/topic,14559.msg236640.html#msg236640

the links are different,

while on the feed in question, the link for the post is:
https://linuxsat-support.com/thread/126485-μεταδόσεις-αθλητικών-γεγονότων/

which is obviously the same as the thread's link

however, I still don't understand how the browser and feedly fetches it and your platform doesn't,
these don't have " protection and deduplication methods "?

and, if this is the case, as you say, can that be disabled for this feed because it produces incorrect results?

It's a global protection and can't be applied per feed. That's why I said:

I got another one with problems in inoreader (same problem happens in feedly as well this time, but not when viewed in browser):

well, this one:
http://www.thumbapps.org/feeds/posts/default

doesn't show updates in inoreader (and feedly), but it does when viewed from the browser

it got updated on both the 6/10 and 7/10 and not on 21/9 as reported by both you and feedly,

however, there's a "strange" post at the top at 1/10 and the newest are above that,

you can take a look

It's the same as above. The missing articles are old and updated ones. Just search for them inside Inoreader  (search in current selection about.....) and you'll see them.

Also the feed itself has some issues
